Translated to Arabic, ''Das Mädchen mit dem Fingerhut'' ('The Girl with the Thimble), first published in 2016. A narrative story of a 6 year old migrant girl left in the market place during the day - but one evening her uncle does not turn up to get her. She is left hungry and alone alone in a large city, not knowing the language. After being taken to a shelter, she meets two boys alone like her - they escape and break into a house, get caught and run...A page-turner showing the brutal reality of the homeless and dispossessed street children, on the run, as told from the simple narrative of the child.
