An early work on the principles of Islamic law, their sources and ways of deduction, by Shams al-Din Abi Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Ibrahim Ibn Surur al-Maqdisi al-Hanbali (603-676 H) . This work will assist in the understanding the sciences of Usul al-Fiqh, necessary for studies in Islamic jurisprudence.
