This book is an account written by the Prime Minister of Jordan who signed the peace treaty, a senior minister in his cabinet at the time, and a minister who served later in the cabinet. All three authors were instrumental in peacemaking, as Dr Majali headed the Jordan delegation, and Anani and Haddadin worked with him as senior members of that delegation. The three were effective in following up with the implementation of the peace treaty.

Their work is a much needed reference on the Middle East peace process in regard to both its bilateral and multilateral conferences.

Dr Abdul Salam A. Majali is a veteran of Jordan's wars with Israel who served several times as minister in the cabinets of Jordan and twice as President of the University of Jordan. He led Jordan's delegation to the bilateral peace negotiations with Israel and was the Jordanian Prime Minister who signed the peace treaty. Dr Jawad A. Anani served as minister in several cabinets of Jordan and was the last Chief of the Royal Court under the late King Hussein. He was a senior member of Jordan's delegations to the Middle East peace process. Dr Munther J. Haddadin served in the rehabilitation and development of the Jordan valley and joined the Jordanian delegations to the peace process. He later served as Jordan's Minister of Water and Irrigation.
