A translation to English of Shihab al-Din Suharwardi's work titled 'Alam al-Huda'. This is Suharwardi's treatise on Islamic Creed- covering the major aspects proper Islamic belief one should adhere to and strive to preserve. He was asked while making ritual circumambulation of the Kaabah in Makkah by someone he refers to only as" brother" to compose such a book so that the Muslims of his time could adhere to proper belief in their dogmatic doctrine and be corrected on misunderstandings, he therefore composed "Alam al Huda". With a very in depth introduction this work is unique inasmuch as the rareness of "Sufi" scholars writing on issues of creed. Translated and edited by; Dr. Tahir Uluc, Dr. Sehabeddin Kirdar, Dr. Kemal Argon, and Dr. Ismail Tas.
