Majdal, who hates mirrors and glass doors that open automatically, searches "frivolously" for meaning in her life after her mother's death, in an occupied country where moments of fear and heroism intertwine with thoughts of death, job hunting, and applying for scholarships abroad. Through her sarcastic emails to universities, companies, and her psychiatrist, Majdal expresses her attempt to cope with her contradictory world of faith and its absence, revolution and its failure, love and broken hearts.
