This commentary on al-Mutanabbi’s Diwan synthesizes all previous commentaries - having refined and polished them - by incorporating the interpretations of both early and later commentators as well as the views of al-Mutanabbi’s critics. The author also elaborates extensively on illustrative citations, parallels, and analogous examples, clarifying any obscurities within these references and the explanatory text itself. Consequently, this work surpasses the collective body of earlier commentaries, serving as both a commentary on al-Mutanabbi and a commentary on the commentaries themselves - thereby rendering all others superfluous.
